“I have had my permit to carry since 2003 when the MN personal protection act passed. In 2009 I was certified by AACFI, which later changed to NACFI, to teach the MN permit to carry classes for new students. In January of 2023, my business was certified with the MN BCA to teach new instructor's on teaching their own permit to carry classes. I have 9 instructors from Dassel to Brainerd to Bemidji MN and places in between. We can teach anywhere from 1 student to 50 students. We teach the law's and responsibilities how to be safe while carrying a firearm. We also do a shooting qualification at the end of the class to see how each student handles a firearm. The MN permit is good for 5 years, and a renewal class is mandatory before your expiration date.”
